Yo-yo necklace
About this item
Decorate your neck with this zingy little number. This was made by Jo: This was inspired by the fab yo-yo jewellery sold through Cookoorikoo on Etsy. I have a wedding to go to but no money to buy a new outfit, so I made this necklace to brighten up a plain linen dress I have. It was another 'do it while watching the TV' job and it was so enjoyable playing around and choosing the colours. You can find instructions to make yo yos (also called 'Suffolk puffs') all over the web. My yo yos were made with 4" diameter circles and just a few small stitches were all that I used to keep the yo yos together and form the shape of the necklace.
You will need:
Scraps of fabric of your choice
Something circular to draw around to make your template (or a yo-yo maker if you prefer)
Hand sewing needle and thread
Ribbon or similar to tie the necklace around your neck
Difficulty level: Easy, easy, easy!
